How to Choose Cabinet Door Styles
The two main elements you need to decide when selecting your cabinetry are style and finish. There is an unlimited variety of cabinet door styles, but to keep it simple we have broken selection into few categories. When selecting a door style you need to answer a question, is my style modern, traditional or in-between? Do I even have an idea yet or am I still looking for an inspiration. Modern kitchen usually mean flat door, also refers as a slab door. Traditional doors, usually have more detailed stiles and applied moldings and come in raised and recessed panel options. Many people don’t want to be too modern or too traditional. In an attempt to define a style between traditional and modern, cabinetry industry created the word transitional usually that means shaker door. Shaker door style is simple square frame around the flat center panel. Shaker door style is one of the most favorite styles in United States today.
